Account

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen tap Forgot your password?. We email a six-digit code that works once and expires after 15 minutes. Entering it lets you set a new password and signs you straight back in. Resetting also signs you out everywhere else, so use it if you think someone else has your password.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything on our servers — goals, progress, check-ins, streaks, your journal entries, and any photos we've backed up. It cannot be undone. If you want a copy first, use Settings → Export my data.

Subscription and billing

What does the free trial include?

Seven days covering goals, progress, check-ins, streaks, journalling, and the daily content library. Features that use the AI mentor — journal reflections and the weekly review — need a paid subscription.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they're cancelled in your Apple account: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ryvelo → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

I paid but the app still shows a paywall

Open the paywall and tap Restore a purchase. If that doesn't work, check you're signed into the same Apple ID you bought with, then email us and we'll sort it out.

Your data

Where are my journal entries kept?

In two places: encrypted on your device, and saved to your account so they survive losing or replacing your phone. Being on our servers means our staff could technically reach them, in the same way we could reach your goals — we limit that to what running the service needs, we don't read entries for any other purpose, and we never use them to train AI models.

Earlier versions kept entries on the device and nowhere else. That meant a reinstall destroyed them permanently, which we judged the worse outcome for the most personal thing you write here.

Will I lose my journal if I delete the app?

No. Your journal is saved to your account, so signing in on a new phone brings it back along with your goals, streaks and check-ins. Earlier versions of Ryvelo kept entries on the device only, and deleting the app did destroy them — that is why this changed.

Entries are still encrypted on your device, and you can delete any single entry, or your whole account, whenever you like.

What about my photos?

Both your proof photos and your Proud Moments are backed up to your account by default, so they come back when you sign in on a new phone. If you switch Back up photos off in Settings we delete every copy we hold, and from then on losing the device loses the photos.

Friends and safety

Someone is bothering me

Block them. Open their profile and tap Block: they can no longer see you, find you, or send you anything, and any moment you shared with them stops opening. It works in both directions and they are not told. If you only want the quiet without the finality, Mute does that instead.

How do I report something?

Every profile and every shared moment has a Report action. Pick the reason that fits and send it — you don't have to explain yourself. We look at every report within 24 hours and can remove the content, remove someone's picture and bio, suspend their access to the social features, or close their account. You are never told to sort it out with the other person yourself.

If someone may be in danger, use the "They may be in danger" reason — that one is not treated as an ordinary queue item. If the danger is immediate, please call your local emergency number, which reaches help faster than we can.

What can my friends see?

Nothing, unless you send it. Friends never see your streak, your goals, your check-ins, your journal or your photos. They see your name, username, bio and picture, and whatever moments you choose to send them — and you can take a shared moment back at any time. Your journal and your mentor's replies can never be shared, by any route.

Who can find me?

Only someone who knows your exact username, or who opens the invite link you sent them. There is no browsable directory and no search by partial name. You can switch Let others find me off in your profile, which also unpublishes your invite page.

My access to friends is paused

That happens after a report is upheld. It affects only the social side — your goals, journal, training and mentor keep working normally, and the pause lifts by itself on the date shown. Email us if you think it was a mistake.

Notifications

My reminders aren't arriving

Check Settings → Notifications is on in Ryvelo, and that iOS is allowing notifications for Ryvelo in the system settings. Then use Send a test notification in the app — if that arrives, your reminders will too. Also check Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.

A goal kept reminding me after I'd done it

That was a bug and it's fixed. Make sure you're on the latest version, and tell us if you still see it.
